Hi there who reads the forums from time to time....
Have some news about FS Logbook Editor development...
For Prepar3D v5 compatibility - finally had a moment to look at it. Well, the logbook format did not change, so you can read it as Prepar3D v4 logbook. So only formal support needs to be made - adding some text, change some texts, variables... (and I have already made those in my development build) . However, the import of airport data does not work for Prepar3D v5, since the format of bgl files slightly changed. You can overcome that for now by copying an actual version of MakeRwys and LorbySceneryExport to the Prepar3D v5 installation folder (since FS Logbook Editor uses MakeRwys and it uses LorbySceneryExport 🙂). LobrySceneryExport comes in single zip file with MakeRwys. Than you also need to run FS Logbook Editor as admin (because LorbySceneryExport requires admin rights...). That is how to fix that for now. The updated version of FS Logbook Editor will come with both of these tools updated and will take care of necessary actions.
Next change is, that the new build will most likely come with Java 11 - which means end of support for Windows XP, as the last supported version there was 8. It should also help with the fact that the app completely ignored scaling on Windows 10 - so the fonts were freakingly small on 4K displays. Hope this will fix it, but it will need some testing.
Oh, it will be free update again ...
